  1. Brown Ribs in Butter on medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes. The goal is to create a nice crust on the outside.
  2. Add 1 cup of beef broth, or crush 1 beef bourbon in 1 cup of warm water. Add to slow cooker.
  3. Add red wine.
  4. Add diced yellow onion.
  5. Add dried basil leaf, salt, and pepper.
  6. Remove browned ribs from stovetop.
  7. Add browned ribs to wine sauce and allow to reduce over 5 hours on High.
  8. For best flavor, enjoy with the people you love the most.
